the Z Hall Event Center in Owosso Michigan is the location for the 40-Women-Over-40 Exhibit and Gala hosted by Lori Alley Studios

We are so honored to have this night… a night where YOU are the feature, the focus, the star.

For so many of you, this experience meant showing up with courage… with glamour… with patience… with beauty and soul. Now it’s time to celebrate every bit of that. This is the night where it all comes together.

Make it a date night. Imagine your honey walking in and seeing your portrait on an easel, the entire room drawn to your story. Or make it a girls' night, grab your best friend, bring your crew, or come solo and leave with a whole new circle of powerful women.

Pull that dress out of the closet you’ve been waiting for or go find something brand new that says this is my next chapter.

Because this night is bigger than portraits. It’s about connection, it’s about laughter, and it’s about standing in a room full of women who have stepped fully into their power… owning their stories, their beauty, and exactly who they were always meant to be.

We’ll be revealing the portraits, sharing stories, making new friendships, and celebrating each and every one of you. And beyond all of that, this night has purpose.

We are proud to support the YWCA, helping provide a safe place for women rebuilding their lives after domestic abuse. Just by showing up, you are part of that mission. From ticket sales to portrait purchases, every moment of this night gives back.

This is more than a photoshoot. More than an exhibit. This is a celebration of some of the most powerful women I have ever had the honor of meeting...and I cannot wait to celebrate you!

***40 Over 40 Fabulous Fare – Be Part of the Story***

Every woman who has participated in the 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience is invited to bring a dish that represents her, something meaningful, beautiful, or just downright delicious.

We’re asking each of you to bring a side, main, dessert, or appetizer presented on a white plate, bowl, platter, or dish so we can keep everything clean, elevated, and cohesive for photography.

Because yes… we’re photographing it.

Your dish will be featured in our upcoming Factory Photography Print-On-Demand magazine, “40 Over 40 Fabulous Fare,” a collection that celebrates not just who you are, but what you create, share, and bring to the table.

When the magazine is complete, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase copies for yourself, your family, and your friends, and just like everything we’re doing with this experience, proceeds will also go to support the YWCA.

And here’s where we take it to the next level. Bring garnishes, ingredients, or small elements used to create your dish so we can incorporate them into the photos. Think herbs, fruits, spices, textures, those little details that tell the story behind what you made. This is more than food. This is art. This is your signature. And I cannot wait to see what you bring to the table.

***A portion of proceeds from this event and all 2026 portrait sessions will be donated to YWCA ***

Why This Matters – Our Heart Behind the YWCA

This one’s personal for me. For years, we haven’t just supported the YWCA, we’ve stood beside them. We’ve worked with their women, photographed them, looked them in the eyes, and seen what strength really looks like.

These are women who have walked through things most people will never understand, and somehow, they’re still standing, still fighting, and still finding their way back.

That’s what the YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee does. They give women a safe place to land when life falls apart. Not just a roof… but real support. A way forward. A chance to rebuild. I’ve seen what happens when a woman starts to believe in herself again, it’s everything.

That’s why this night hits different. Because when you show up, you’re not just coming to a gala, you’re standing behind women who are rewriting their stories in real time. You’re helping someone get a second chance, feel safe and start over.

That’s something you can feel good about the second you walk in the room.

Hi, I'm Goldy!

I’ve been in front of and behind the camera my whole life. I started in commercials and modeling when I was 3, so I grew up inside this industry, watching trends change, styles evolve, all of it. But the one thing that never changed was people. People have always needed guidance… someone to make them feel comfortable, confident, and seen for who they really are. I knew early on I could do that.

I picked up a camera at 8, and not as a hobby. I saw what was happening around me, kids being taken advantage of in the modeling world by predators, and I said no more. I spoke up, got myself blackballed by some photographers in Minneapolis for blowing the whistle, and decided I’d shoot my own photos. Then it turned into everyone else’s too. Cheerleaders, athletes, dancers, models, I created a space where people felt safe and could actually enjoy being in front of the camera.

That path led me into photographing bands and artists, eventually landing me at Paisley Park working alongside Prince, where I started helping shape artists’ images and how they showed up in the world. Through all of it, every reinvention, every chapter, one thing has never changed. I don’t just take photos. I create a space where women get to see themselves differently, sometimes for the first time in a long time.

This isn’t about a picture. It’s about you, everything you’ve been through, everything you’ve built, and finally owning it. I bring everything I’ve learned from years in this industry, on stage and behind the scenes, to create something that feels powerful, elevated, and real. And when you see it, I want you to stop and go… “Damn. That’s me.”

Let’s make some magic.
